my female parakeets seems sick. she cant fly and she just stays in her cage all day.shes also starting to eat less.i also have a male bird in the same cage.any idea whats wrong?
Answers:Birds don't show they are sick till they are real sick. You might want to take the trip to the vet. I have yet to have a sick bird but have still took one of them once just to make sure she was ok. to me it would be worth the 25 bucks for a checkup.
I'm not sure, but an "animal doctor" can help your parakeet.

Usually when a bird gets sick there are no tell-tale signs. If you dont get them to a vet immediately they will more than likely die.
She needs to see an avian vet. This is ALWAYS a bad sign. By the time a bird shows it is ill, it is VERY ill.
