he makes a sound like he's cracking nuts only iy's really soft does it mean ne thing?
Answers:Hehe it just means hes "talking" he must love you. Just encourage him to be louder. ITs good that hes making sounds. nothings wroong at all!
It shouldint mean anything my bird started to make really wierd noises to but just incasei would check it out with a neerby Vet incase He/She is sick
well it matters what kind of bird you have because for some birds that really sounds like the mating call
Actually the sound you are describing sounds like a bird grinding its beak. It's like a weird cracking/deep squeaking noise, and my birds do it too.They typically do it at night, but can do it during teh day too, it just means they are comfortable/relaxed, most birds do it that I know of, 3 of my 4 birds do!
My bird makes all kinds of noises. in the year we have had him I notice that he likes to mimic us. Maybe he is mimicing you somehow.
