It depends on the bird. But most such as Conures and parrots have a primary diet of pellets but basically eat everything that you eat. You practically make them a plate whenever you eat and serve it to them too. But never give a bird avacado, chocolate, caffine, or alcohol as it is all toxic to them.

So the answers is really anything you do. Fruits, vegetables, breads, pastas, even meats. But just like any of us, extremely fatty or salty foods in large amounts aren't good either and will make them fat, so use common sense when feeding them.

This depends upon the species. If you have a parrot, feed it everything you eat except chocolate, caffine and avacado. An all-seed diet will kill a parrot. Parrot pellets, fruits and veges, cooked meat, scrambled eggs, french toast, pasta - you get the idea.

i give.okay i gave mine birdseed (it looks like ovaly green stuff thats small and little orangey stuff that looks like shrunken dogfood and some sunflower seeds. but they were finches.

I had the same question about 3 weeks ago when I found a cockateil on the side walk..I went to PetSmart they gave me all the advice plus there's customers in the store that are willing to chit chat and help you pick out food since each creature have specific food. The lady that works there was so nice gave me another cockateil for adoption , I guess I was so lucky twice , so now I have 2 cockateils and my pooch that they got along so well .
