African Greys are tons of fun, usually learn to talk, and are highly regarded as the most intelligent type of parrot. However, they will often bond to one family member and either ignore or become aggressive towards others.but some can do equally well with all family members.

Macaws are fun-loving, playful, and very energetic. They need tons of time outside of their cages, and looove to play games! They have huge beaks and can be very destructive chewers though, so watch your furniture, belongings, doorframes, etc. when they are out of their cages! (And be careful what you put NEAR their cage!)

Now.cockatoos! Awesome birds for people who want a REALLY affectionate, loving velcro-bird. Many cockatoos (particularly Umbrella cockatoos) love to cuddle, and will never want to leave your side.of course, there are always exceptions, so that's something to consider. However, like macaws, cockatoos like to chew, so be careful! Also, cockatoos are known screamers. Macaws can be loud too, but are slighlty less well known for their persistance. Cockatoos take the cake for noise.

Whatever you choose, I hope it proves to be an extremely rewarding decision! Just keep in mind that the bigger the bird is, the more daily one-on-one interaction it will require just to be happy and healthy.so choose wisely! =D
