Parakeet loosing alot of his feathers, his appetite is good, his dropping are normal
Answers:ya its fine its called molting. birds do that and grow back new ones.
This suggest health issues. Can you tell me a little bit more?Have you gotten any new birds in the last two months?? When was his last molt? Have you moved his cage? Or maybe switched foods or put new toys in his cage?
Its nothing to worry about. Most birds have a heavy and light moult, depending on temperatures. As you say his appetite is good and his droppings are normal, its not down to ill health or stress. You may like to give your bird a tonic at this time,as during moults, especially heavy ones, they are susceptible to other infections.Temperatures in your house could affect the way your bird moults. Try to keep your bird in a constant temperature, and out of draughts. Sometimes during a heavy moult, birds droppings become loose. Keep an eye on your bird, watching out for any marked changes.

Lack of proper nutrients. Check with a pet store, or vet.
Many birds go through different types of molts. Every molt will not be the same as another, even for an individual bird. Molting is a stressful time for any bird, regardless of how many feathers are dropping per day. It would be helpful to give him/her some egg food during this time, as well as sprouts, which are very nutrious. Continue to monitor the food intake and droppings.
It seems you are keeping a very close eye on your bird, which is good. If he/she suddenly starts to show any kind of abnormality, then you might want to consider going to a vet. It sounds like it's perfectly normal though.
Good luck!

They can have heavier molts at different times of the year. There is a problem commonly known as French molt where the feather continuously fall out abd break before grown in fully, if this is more like what is happening to your bird, then a trip to your avain vet is in order.
