A have a new kitten, but miss my old cat Am I terrible2007-11-25 11:29:32

I had this cat for 3 years and we were completely attached to eachother. I recently moved out of my parents house and tried to take him with me, but he just wouldn't adjust in my apartment, so I brought him back to my parent's house, and he seems happy and content there. I was lonely in my apartment so I just got a new kitten. I miss my other cat terribly and I know I will never love this cat as much as my old one. I feel bad for adopting this kitten and getting him in the middle, I am taking care of him very well, I just feel bad for getting a new cat. Am I terrible? Should I not have got him? Should I have given my old cat more time to adjust?

No u arent terrible. But yes u didnt give the cat enough time to adjust. Take it back with you im pretty sure ill get along with ur kitty. Good Luck

maybe your old cat didn't want to adjust or maybe it just needed more time, either way you have another cat that needs your love and affection all the same, so just take good care of it like you would its brother or sister whatever the case is that is now living at your parents house again :)

it takes time to ajust to the new kitten thats how i feel but dont worry i think everything will be just fine!

It's never a bad idea to get a cat. It's also never a bad idea to do what's best for your pet, and taking your older cat back to a place where he is comfortable is not a bad thing to do. Of course, you will always love him. You can visit him and he will probably remember you, and your voice and touch in particular.
