My lil kitten who was jus 45 days old died yesterday the doc said due to bacteria in d stomach2007-11-25 12:23:43

recently a friend of mine visited our place and her daughter squeezed my kitten n since den the kitten wasnt breathin normally wen i told the doc he didnt even comment on it but he gave sumthng called baby rest jus one drop so dat it gets relief frum d bacteria and wen i got home my kitten was feelin uneasy and den after sum time it died he also gav a tablet for gas coz its stomach was bloating can any one plz tell me wut exactly had happened to my kitten.

From this you can't tell what happened to your kitten. I'm very sorry that it died. Being that it was only 6 weeks old if it was not with it's mother drinking milk for that whole time then it's immune system was severly compromised. If it wasn't vaccinate it may have contracted a variety of bacterial or viral infections. Small kittens are prone to respiratory infections and gastrointestinal diseases. You can take the kitten's body to a veterinary school and pay for a necropsy to be done which may yield an answer. This of course would need to be done soon after death. I also recommend that you find another veterinarian and when (if) you do have a new animal be sure to voice your concerns about the health of the animal. If the veterinarian doesn't respond to ligitamite concerns then you should get a second opinion.
