Ok just to clarify my cat situationif you ALL MUST KNOW my TRUE intentions, to keep or not to keep
1st of all, I know this has gone on for a bit and I am not one 2 rant; if you people must kno my whole life.I offered 2 take my cat Kittie from someone who was going 2 dump her 1 yr ago. I lived in Texas moved to Cali I live with my mom and she already has 4 cats and 1 dog I just added more pets 2 the household.I asked her if it bugged her and she said no I started the spaying process (i was already preg.).she got her shots and 1 day she just showed up w/ a bigger belly (someone let her out) she is an indoor cat.I was so heartbroken because she was about 2 get spayed she had an APPT already.i called the humane about 6 weeks ago 2 schedule an appt 2 get her spayed again and they told me i had 2 wait 8 weeks.now my mom is moving 2 a nicer home and i really don't want 2 have her home full of animals.call me a loser i dont care.there are days where i dont want 2 give her up but i just feel like i need 2. i dont know i dont want 2 sound SELFISH should i just keep her and see how it works?
Answers:dont have time to read all ur story its 2 long
put an add in your local paper with an edited version of this, charge 50 or more dollars, screen the home before you send her to it and try to not send her to the shelter unless it is no kill, otherwise you are just putting kitty on death row. Do you have a friend to bring her? You were that friend last year.
If you feel in your heart that a momma kitty with new babies just won't work for you there is nothing wrong with trying to find her a new home. Have you tried contacting your local SPCA or rescue society? Tell them your troubles, maybe they might have a foster parent (they do have them for animals) who could take on your charge for a time until adoption is available for the kittens. Prayers =)
I don't see a problem with it if you can find a good home for her. If not, I think you should keep her. You took on that responsibility when you rescued her in the first place. Don't dump her like her former owner.
You should see how it works about, because it could go wonderful for all we know. But if you can't keep her give her away to someone who is really going to take care of her and her babies. Maybe like a family member will work. But you are not a loser because you are making a choice instead of dumping her like her previously owner tried to do and what people do to other cats. At least you tried to get her spayed also, some people don't even try. Well make sure her and her babies are not homeless and have no food. Try the best you can. As soon as she has her babies, get her spayed!! As soon as they can live on their own.
If you don't want the cat don't keep it , you can't force your self to do something you don't want to and any way if you keep it and you really don't want to you might end up being mean to the cat, I not saying you are going to hit or kick it or any thing like that but animals know when they are not wanted - try to find a nice home for it and don't worry so much about what other people think.
Yeah, I am sure we will all know WHICH version to believe. The fact is, you took a cat and in a YEAR didn't get her spayed. "Someone let her out". IF she was in heat and got out, you should have been at the vet getting her fixed ASAP!
