Our cat has been sneezing lately Why2007-11-25 12:24:54

We have a year and a half old cat, she is long haired, and goes indoors and outdoors. She has been spayed, and is up-to-date on her shots. She has been sneezing a lot lately. They're just one sneeze at a time, it's NOT a sneezing fit, or anything. And, sometimes AFTER she sneezes, I can hear her breathing out really fast. Just breathing out her nose really fast, but it's not a sneeze. Sometimes, she does the little exhaling thing, even when she hasn't just sneezed. I really want to know what is going on.

My cat used to do this. She would even have a little bit of a runny nose afterward. My vet told me that they get allergies just like we do, and it is that time of year. Keep an eye on her, if it continues/gets worse you should contact your vet.
