Our new kitten doesn`t sleep and he keeps me up,and I have to get some sleep 2night
We got a new kitten and we are doing the process where you keep him in a small room or bathroom and we are keeping him in my room.Last night he went to bed in his little bed. and I fell asleep , then I woke up two hours later because he was crawling all over me and stuff.. Is there any way I can Get him to fall asleep or stay off me tonight so i can get some sleep because I have to get up early tomorrow..What do I do? I really need help.
Answers:There is really nothing you can do about it. Kittens and cats sleep a lot and they don't sleep for seven hours straight like humans do.
It's the same with babies (which maybe is something you can look forward to in the future.)
Everybody wants the darling kitten and then is totally unprepared for what is absolutely normal behavior for the kit. If you want a good night's sleep a cat over a year old is the best bet.
If your friends at school or co-workers ask why you have bags under your eyes you just say "Got a new baby in the house!"
Cats are naturally nocturnal, so I would suggest putting him in a separate room with the door closed. Then again, you're probably going to hear him meowing all night. He's stil a kitten and he wants his mommy.
Why don't u lock him up in another room or ur bathroom for tonight? Just make sure he stays warm and if it's in the bathroom put down the toilet cover.
i had the same problem. i would wake him up during the day and play with him. if he wants to stop, then offer him some treats or something. just anything to keep him awake for more of the day. and i would suggest opening the door to the room and letting him explore your home more so that he gets exercised and needs more rest at night.
Move the baby out of your room. He wants to play and cats don't sleep like humans. They nap throughout the day and night. However, remember that cats are nocturnal creatures and will be up more when it is dark. Put the baby in the bathroom so you can get some sleep. I am lucky in that my cat leaves me alone at night, but it is a rarity.
It passes. Try to play with him as much as you can during the day so he's tired at night. You have to just ignore it. Eventually he'll get over it. Also, if you see him sleeping during the early evening, try to wake him up and get him to play.
If you have a kennel, then let him sleep in it with the door closed. (A cage like guinea pigs sleep in.)
I guess for tonight it will be OK if he sleeps in other room. The best you can do if is to play a lot whit him before you both go to sleep, i.e. get him tired.
