PLEASE HELP how do u get a tick without picking it off2007-11-25 12:25:03

is there like a powder that may help (cat) its already has blood

mayb bleach or somethin??

i dont even want 2 grab it with a tweezers yukk

don't pour bleach or anything on your cat. i know you don't want to, but you are gonna have to pick the tick off with tweezers, or have someone else do it. make sure that ALL of the tick is off of your cat, if you leave just the head on and pick off the bodie, it can still live. once you have the tick off, burn it. that way you know that it is completely dead.

Light a match, blow it out. Hold the hot end to the tick and it should back out.

light a match. blow it out and then touch it to the backside of the tick. It'll back right out.

I dont think so. Just pick it out with tweasers. it dosn't hurt.

You have to burn it off. Have someone else take something long and hot at the tip and put it right on the tick. He'll let go and fall off.

Cover it with Vaseline so it has to pull it's head out to breathe

If its already gorged it should fall off by itself..once its got blood the damage could already be done, the only way to really get rid of them is to pick them off.if you do attempt that however make sure you pick them right off or you could leave the mouth still in and the area would be infected..or take it to the vets and they should do it for you

If your that much of a wuss then take it to the vet to have it removed.

Aw, sorry. :) Your best bet really is to gently remove it with tweezers, but if you put some vaseline on it the tick will smother and eventually fall off. The reason I recommend NOT using that technique on an animal is that the cat will probably lick the vaseline off and get seriously sick from it.
