Persian-gray tabby question 2
what do use to wipe off the mess from your persian cat's b*u*t*t*? a tissue, a wet towel? what else?
thanks
Answers:She should be cleaning herself. How old was she when she was taken from Momcat? Momcat does this for a while and then lets each kitten fend for herself.
Has this kitten been checked for worms? You can also do a discreet trim around the anus to get some of the hair away.
Try baby wipes.
baby wipes?
Use another cat.. no not really. If she is getting poop on her fur just use some tp first, then maybe the wipes. I've had cats all my life and never had (an adult) cat with any problem like that. Cats can and will wipe their own butt, unless they are sick , or really old / young, or just way too fat,
She should not be having diarrhoea at this age.have you changed her food suddenly? Persians are quite delicate and this can effect their digestive system and lead to diarrhoea. Make sure you introduce new food gradually. Are you giving her milk? Contrary to popular belief, milk is very bad for cats as a large majority are lactose intolerant.
A tissue should suffice, wet towels usually have a smell and this will be very unpleasant for the cat when she turns round to lick herself.you could get her off licking herself there completely, and thats unnatural and quite annoying since you'll have to clean her up yourself for the rest of her life.
Is it getting stuck to her fur instead perhaps? It can happen with persians when they're little. If you do not plan to show your cat as a kitten you could get a trim around that area next time you go to the groomer.i wouldnt suggest you trim it yourself. These "bum" trimmings are very common with persian cat owners.
