Poor sad kitty

Poor sad kitty2007-11-25 12:25:09

My oldest son moved out last week. He moved three states away. My cat isn't dealing well with this. She sits on his bad and cries.

We are paying extra attention to her, but she still does it..

What else can we do?

Answers:

time will help her-& you.pay special attention to kitty-attack her & rub her belly, ears- you two have something to bond over. let her talk to him on phone.

Sweetie, what I'm wondering is . is it really the cat sitting on his bed crying? I know it wasn't my cat when my daughter left. Big Hug!
buy another cat so its got some company
She'll get over it hopefully sooner than later, When my brother passed away a few months ago who lived with my mother, her dog did the same thing she was freaking, every car that pulled in the driveway she'd run to the door, she'd sleep in his room all day, pee in her sleep the list goes on. I finally went over there took the dog to the vet and they gave me some pills that would help her relax we gave those to here for a month or so and she seems to be doing better, you can tell she's still misses him, but she seems a lot healthier, broken hearts mend eventually.
Is she the only cat you have? If so, you might consider getting it another cat to keep her company. I'm sure she will get better once she adjusts, but I would consider getting her a friend. Hope she gets better! I have 2 cats and I know how much it can break your heart to see them upset. Good luck!
