Possibly adopting a male kitten tomorrow what information will I need 2 fill out the adoption applic

they say to fill the application at the place( Women's Humane Society) but I'm sure they'll need references and I'm not sure what else they ask 4 on an adoption application. I have the vet's name,vet address and number. I also printed out the page of the cat and all the info they listed of him. what other information and or references should I bring to the shelter tomorrow?

It is always good to list a veterinarian's name, clinic and phone#.I had to accept or reject many adoption applications and having a veterinarian gives you high points. Maybe employer and a few friends would be good to have too.

They may also ask about your cat owning history. If we see too many "killed by a car" incidents it makes us wonder why you haven't gotten the message to keep you cats indoors. If you had a cat for 15 years or more, that would get an enthusiastic thumbs up. If you have had a cat die from a urinary blockage we would want to be sure you had learned all the necessary precautions about this possibility in a male cat.

It may seem intrusive and controlling to many people and humane societies and adoption counselors consider their animals to be "second-chance" cases. Even a kitten has usually been rescued from a dangerous or unhealthy environment. We want to be sure that they will go to a forever home, taken care of medically and emotionally by a new owner.
