Recently lost a cat, My other two cats seem to miss him2007-11-25 12:25:12

Recently lost one of my siamese,he was the male. My other two female siamese keep looking for him. they were all of the same litter and approx 4 yrs old. Was wondering if it would help to get another siamese male kitty to keep them company.

I think that the two cats you still have are going to look for and miss him for quite some time. I wouldn't recommend trying to replace him, cats don't usually like other cats unless they are raised together. At least they still have each other.

Cats are ver much like people in the sense that they miss and even seem to mourn the passiing of fellow pets. It is possible the addition of another cat into the family would help to relieve their grievance or it may make it worse. There is no correct answer but to put yourself in their position.

yes. cats that are together from kittenhood often do love each other very much, but no another kitten woul not be good bcuz they don't like to be paired with a cat they haven't known.

like people animals will go though a period of morning. if you do replace him wait a few month and get an adult from a rescue center. older cats do not care for kittens unless they are there own
