i've saved 2!

my parents live out in the country where people often dump kittens.

one is now 5 and my dog actually brought it to the doorstep with it's two siblings. the siblings passed later that night but Bear survived! he was only 3 weeks old and i nursed him back to health. feeding him from a bottle every few hours and giving him a bath everyday because he was poopy in the morning. i'd do it all over again!

then there was Willow! we found her wandering around by herself on my parents property. i just walked up to her and picked her up and she started purring. i couldn't put her down! she was a 3 month old siamese/ tabby cross. she's doing well now. almost 5 months old and so beautiful!!

well i kinda did

i was like 5

& begging my parents 2 get me 1

& then my dad & cousin came home from work w/ this tiny little thing in a HUGE box

& i got 2 keep her

Not exactly rescued but I adopted a 3 legged cat from the stables where I used to keep my horse. Her owner (actually now a very good friend of mine) worked hard at the stables all day and then went clubbing all night so her and her siblings were a bit neglected. She's fab and spoiled and has 3 siamese cats to keep her company at my house.

Tika, my Tortie cat, was adopted from a county shelter. It's a good thing to adopt a shelter kitty because they usually include spaying or neutering in the adoption fee and they sometimes give vouchers for your cat's first vet visit.

I havn't. I'd rather get a cat from where I work. That way I know nothing's wrong with it.

My friend called me one day at work, and a trucker came into her work with a tiny kitten he had found in some bushes. The poor thing did not even weight a pound. I drove 3 hours to pick him up. 3 years later, Dude is still one of the best animals we have.

I personally didn't save a cat but my old drama teacher did and she told us the story of how she got her cat "6 pack".
