Roomates cat peeing on floor now that she only has 1 litterbox HELP2007-11-25 12:25:15

My roomates cat is used to living with two litterboxes, one for pee one for poop. Now we live in the NYC area and have limited space for the one litterbox we have. She doesnt like this and it peeing on the floor about every other day. What can I do to stop this! We dont have room for two? Thanks!

Get 2 smaller litter boxes.

Tell your roommate to do something about it, it's her cat.

there are frames you can buy to set them up one on top of the other

go to a local pet store and check into these

if not, try an automatic litter box which will clean in-between pees and poops

Rub your room mates nose in the mess. this should take care of it. and put the cat out side.

find a way to make room for two . . .

there was an episode on the home and gardens channel where the owners of this small place cut a hole in one wall to make a space for a cat litter box . . .

maybe you could be creative and make a space.

Also, maybe try a different kind of cat litter - I use worlds best cat litter and love it.

Do you have room to put 2 side by side? That's what I did. Also try a "Puppy Pad." They are meant for house training puppies but sometimes work for cats that don't like to listen!
