Shock collars for cats
My dad's girlfriend's cats attack one of our cats. Our cat now hides all the time and has lost a bunch of weight.
Me and my dad were talking and we were wondering if there is some kind of shock collar that we could get for his gf's cats?
A shock collar that maybe would shock the cats when they get so many feet away from our other cat who would be wearin something too??
So it would be an automatic thing?
Because we try to spray them, but they know what they're doing wrong and attack her as soon as we leave the room.
I just feel bad for my cat and I'll do anything to help her out.
Any ideas?
Answers:DO NOT DECLAW THE GF'S CAT!! This will only lead to biting. If they were properly introduced things may have gone better. Seperate the cats for a couple days, leave a towel for each one to lay on after the 2nd day switch towels so each kitty will get the others scent. After the 4th day try and re-introduce them to each other. If that doesn't work you may have to find a new home for one of the kitties. Good luck
sell the gf's cat to a carry out,,,they'll take care of it
You may need to read-up on cat behavior before you resort to something as inhumane as a shock collar.
maybe u should try declawing her cats. It's inhuman i know but it seem to me that her cats are really aggressive and could potentially seriously injured some other animals at a future date. Also i don't think shock collar is a great idea; cats have claws and they have means of getting rid of the collar unlike dogs whose blunt claws are not effective at cutting the collar. I would say declaw the gd's cat or neuter it if it has not been neutered(which will decrease aggressiveness too)
just declaw her cats. I hate the thought to tell you to do it.but each situation is different and it looks like a have too situation in this case.
