Should I get my daughters cat back2007-11-25 12:25:20

A neighbor asked if she could adopt my daughter's cat, and I told her that I would need to speak with my child. I hadn't got back with her by the time I hear the news that the cat is living in her house, and she's already taken it to the vet. My daughter is absolutely heart-broken, and this woman is being horribly cold to my little girl. Now, this woman's children are attached to this cat, and I don't want to hurt THEM. She took it upon herself to take the cat to the vet, or she could be lying, (which is what I hear from the other neighbors) I personally don't care that she has the cat, just that she didn't wait for me to get back with her about the adoption, and she's being a real b*tch to my daughter when she asks for the cat back. What to do..what to do..

Doesn't sound like you were taking very good care of the cat, maybe that is why the lady wanted it. Cats need a good home. An indoor space for them to be safe and warm. I don't mean to offend you at all, but maybe a cat is just not for you. I suggest cutting your losses and getting your daughter a hamster. No one can take that away.. Good luck.

take the cat back, you didn,t yet give it to her i know people like that and consult with your daughter, why you want to give it away ? take the cat and call the law if she refuses have pictures that you owned the cat

Get your damn cat back. It may not matter to you if the cat is there or not but it's your daughter's cat. Right now you are teaching her that it is ok to steal/take things that aren't yours. Get the cat back. Your daughter can share the love of the cat but the cat is hers.
