Should cats take showers If yes, how often2007-11-25 12:25:47Answers:
To give your cat a bath isn't essential, but if you do, no harm caused.i bathe my cat about once a month.
Cautions:: Use warm water and have a lot of towels handy.
Do not let the cat out untill it is fully dry.
Do not allow water to enter its ear therefore, insert cotton
balls in them.
If they have fleas or tics they should be washed and treated. But other than that I don't think so. Cats usually keep themselves clean.
There is no reason to bath a cat, especially an inside cat, unless there is a special circumstance, something was spilled on it etc. In fact, if you bath a cat too often it will dry out the natural oils in its skin. They are built to be "Self-cleaning" :)
Cats, Felis domestica, like other domesticated animals should take a bath twice a week to make them clean and free from parasites like the robusticus. If you want it to smell sweet with no humid odor, you can make it take a bath 3 times. don't make it take a bath everyday because its feathers would fall off( you dont want it to be bald). You can consult authorized and impostor-free veterinarians for more details and a full-knowledged basis.
no never! they hate showers!!
I had a cat who would jump in the shower with me every day. At first, I thought he liked the water. But then, I figured out that he was just a "peeping tom".
