Should i get a male cat or a female cat and name
okk i am still deciding if i sould get a female or male and some good names so far i came up with brownie if it's brown
Answers:I suggest a male cat. I have always had female pets until recently. Both my roommate and I have male cats. I have never experienced two cats so affectionate. Since then, I have been told by many friends who have had male cats that males tend to be more affectionate than females. However, if you want a more independent cat (more stereotypical) then a female may be better for you. When it comes to name, you have to wait until you see the actual cat. Sometimes it takes looking at them before you really know the perfect name. My cat's name is Pumpkin and it fits him perfectly (he is also orange) and my roommates cat is Sampson because he is very strong and masculine looking. I think you will find it much easier to come up with a name when the cat is staring you in the face.
For a brown cat I would vote for Chocolate or Cocoa. My girls are named Gypsy and Phoebe.
What cat to get depends a little on where the cat is going to spend most it's time. If you want a mainly indoor cat, a female is the best way to go. Male cats who are not neutered will pee to mark territory and that can be a mess with an indoor cat. If you want a mainly outdoor cat, a male would be best, unless you can afford to get a female cat fixed. A male cat can't get pregnant.
As far as names.. Fredrica, Tortuga, Fred, Tort, Ghost (light gray cat), Winter, Angel, Tom
Name your cat by his personality. I prefer girl cats as it seems males don't like to stay in the house.
Get a female cat and name her Bailey. That's what I did.
males cats spray and females get knocked up- (please get what ever you choosed fixed!!) but I have always like females better, they are more lovey. as for a name-- how about willow
You should get a male cat if you don't want kittens and female if you do want kittens
i thnk you should take a male cat because its will cost not too much to operate and vermifuge..
i would get a female because male cats mark there territory all over the house(trust me i have 5 cats) if you get a female i would name it maya or halloween if it is black(and they dont give bad luck i have 2)
u should get a female they smell less and r cleaner than males
I think that you should get a femal, because males when they get older tend to mark their territory..ALOT. Anyway. if you do decide to get a girl here are some names that I thought of if she is indeed going to be brown. Coke, Cookie, Coco, Chocolate, Latte, or Truffles.hope you find the purrrrrfect cat!!
Get a girl cat. and name it Scarlett if is black and white. thats my cats name and i love her so much! Her name fits her too! hehe
I had a male and their the best but they are very teritorial and i think a name should come from the heart something to do with the cats personality or something it did.
I would say a male. Rarely do you have an issue about spraying. Females go into heat and NEVER SHUT UP. They howl like you are beating the crap out of them and rub their privates on everything. You have to go through this at least once before you can have them fixed. I have had both and find males are more my style. They come and want some lovin', but aren't always all over you. The females I've had were always rubbing on my leg or trying to sit on me - I am not that much of a pet lover. My cats names have been Pip (he was too young to be away from his mother and was just a pip squeak), Callie (Calico), Tobey (Orange Tabby), and TJ (another orange tabby - I wasn't real original TJ stand for Tobey Junior).
I've always found females w/o litters (spaid) are most effectionate. However my male kitty I got when just 6wks old, is my BABY! So the choice is really yours. It's usually cheaper and easier to get a male cat neutered, than the female spaid (our males neutered, our female's not)
Here's some names I've had for the cat's I've owned.which is quite a few..
Gizmo
Kiara
Simba
Kitty
Tiggeroo
Mufasa
Cream
Snowball
Luna
Meatball
Little Foot & Big foot
and my cats now are Baby Girl, and Spunky
Hopefully that helps!
