Siamese cat about to have kittens
My 18 month old Siamese cat has been bred for the first time and is now expecting her first litter. I thought that she would have had them by now as we are now on day 67 of the gestation.
Does anyone know if this is okay or should I take her for a check up at the vets? I know that the average gestation period for cats is about 65 days, but I have read that Siamese can have longer periods.
Any advice would be great!
:)
Answers:Contacting your vet would be an option and asking his/her opinion. Granted the gestation period is about 65 days and you think she is on day 67 but you don't know for certain when she became pregnant. They can't get the date right on human babies with all the technology so it stands to reason that a cat won't be exactly 65 days according to calculations.
Just contact your vet and they will probably tell you to give it another week or so and than bring the cat in.
