I have a 6 year old female Javenese cat. She's pretty tiny, probably the runt of the litter. She is not fixed.but I heard that spaying her can increase her health? Is it ok to get her fixed?
Answers:Getting her spayed would help her health enormously. Less effort put in to her howling her head off for a mate and generally getting all het up when in season! Ands having kittens will certainly not improve her health. And you remove a great deal of the possiblity of her contracting FIV.
Besides, it stops there being loads of unwanted kittens that just get put down at a later date.

It may extend her life. Spaying her is a good idea, however, even if it doesn't extend her lifespan. Unless you are a professional breeder, it's a good idea to have your pets neutered. There is a huge problem with unwanted pets in the US. As a pet owner, you have a responsibility to not add to that problem.
there is no question they will spay her. i had one spayed at 8 wks. (not 8 months)
