What breeds do you think are possibly my cats bloodlines2007-11-25 12:26:39

I am curious. I got both of my cats out of a box-literally. They were 2 of 7 and I don't think they are from the same litter. but I am clueless. Any idea of their bloodlines and/or breed?

Isabella is all grey - I am guessing she is most similar to a British Shorthair (British Blue).I also looked at Russian Blues, but she must be a mixed breed. She has medium coat (VERY thick), greenish/gold eyes, and a very regal attitude! She is independent, and can be very skittish. she is strikingly beautiful, tho.

Lola is all white, with markings of a calico on her back. She has a black spot behind each paw on the back of her legs and her eyes are much more golden than her sissys. She is playful and loyal and also a major cuddler!

Also, any idea why they'd hate catnip? They do!

They are both domestic tabbies. I adore the grey one's eyes. We have had cats before who didn't like catnip, and others who went pretty bonkers when they had it.

They very much resemble Singapuras. I myself have a Singapura and if your cat's have ears and eyes bigger than the average cat. you have yourself a set of Singapuras. They are more like a dog than a cat with their loyalty and love. Why not google the breed and see if it matches their traits.

About 15% of cats do not like or will not react to catnip. This is a hereditary trait and almost all cats that originate from South East Asia such as the Singapura will have no reaction to catnip (mine doesnt either)
