A luke warm cotton bud (Q-Tip if you are American) should do the trick.

Or if your cat finds that too close for comfort a luke warm flannel.

i use warm water with a drop of milk in it and a cotten wool ball seems to work for my 3 cats

A damp bit of kitchen towel twisted into a point. Apply gently.

A lint-free cotton handkerchief dipped in warm water and wrung out . I choose not to make a point, because a larger mass is less likely to poke into the cat's eyes. Kitty will be a llittle wetter over more of her face, but safer, too.

A tissue dampened in warm water seems to do the trick. It's not a popular manoeuvre though!

Wet some cotton pads with warm water. Tilt the head of your cat up and gently stroke the crust down so it does not get into your cat's eye.

Luke-warm water on the end of a Q-tip is best for cleaning out the eye boogies. If the eye crust is reoccurring or really stuck, try using a slightly wet chamomile tea bag. That seems to clear up any infection in a day or 2.

A warm washcloth - use gently! My cat used to love this - I think she had flashbacks from when she was an itty bitty kitty and thought she was getting licked.

not sure on cats, but when our horses get weepy eyes i clen them with cold tea. in 9 out of ten cases something in it seems to clear the problem right up
