About a week ago, my poor little kitty's face became very puffy and swollen. But after a day or two, she was back to normal, so we just figured she had gotten stung by a bee and had a reaction to it. Her forehead was still all puffy, which we thought was odd, but figured it would go away too. Then this morning, I was petting her and I felt something hard on her forehead, so I got the tweezers, assuming it was the stinger. Well, when I pulled it out, it was about an inch long and the end was Y-shaped. This was definitely not a little honey bee. I live in NY so it can't be anything too exotic. I am just curious. What would have a stinger that long?

P.S. My cat is acting normal and she seems relieved to have it out.

If so take it to a wildlife official or conservation officer and let them take a look at it.
