Put the other kitten in at least once a day to play. When she has calmed down some. Start by letting her out in a small room like the bathroom. Just set her crate in the bathroom and open the crate door. She may not come out the first day but she will eventually. Usually by the second day. Make sure her playmate is with her. Her moving about will help her be comfortable moving around the bathroom.

Then slowly graduate to a larger room. After she is comfortable. She will eventually settle down and not being so fearful.

I have done this many times and it works well with young kittens.

1. Take her to the vet

2. Make sure you and your girlfriend speak softly (sometimes loud voices can scare a cat).

3. Give her a special treat like Tuna water

4. Try to hold and pet her as much as you can. Maybe put her in the bathroom for a while and pet her in there. Try that everday.

5. Have a peaceful environment, play classical music (cats like that).

The essences are totally benign and cannot harm the kitten and it will help her make a better adjustment to her new home. The essences are inexpensive, easy to use and effective. You just shake the bottle well and put three or four drops on the cat's fur between her ears. You would treat three or four times a day until you see that she is more relaxed and less afraid of human contact, the sights, smells and sounds of a human environment.

This won't change her basic personality, she just may be shyer than her sister and it will help reduce her anxieties and become more like her sister.

I was told to separate feral kittens when fostering to help with their bonding to humans. I just never had the heart to do it. It would cause a lot of stress for her to lose her sister right now and it can just take a lot of patience to bring her around.
