I was thinking that if I ever get another pet it would be nice to have a name in mind. Female or male what's a good name? Any suggestions?

With our cats, we weren't trying to prove anything on a literary level. What we wanted were names that wouldn't embarrass us if we had to yell them outside. That ruled out anything like 鈥淔luffy Meowington.鈥?br />

Lizzie (Elizabeth Bennet) was named by Pat -- a fan of Jane Austen -- with some pride and some prejudice. Nicholas got his name because we adopted him close to Christmas, but we forgot that one of our next door neighbors already had a son with that name. We got a few funny looks from them the first time we called Nicky the cat while Nicky the child was outside.
