Whats my cat sick with2007-11-25 12:29:05

Sacha keeps one eyes half-closed if not completely closed most of the time, and it's a bit runny; he's an eight-month-old cat we just adopted, hasn't been inside any shelter. HELP!

He is sick with something that really needs to be seen by a vet. There are many reasons for this eye trouble-- it could be an allergy, an injury like a scratch that got infected or is simply irritated, a bacterial infection, a virus, or any number of things. Your vet is the only one who can do the appropriate exam and tests. unfortunately, this isn't something that can be answered here.

My advice to you is to have your kitty seen as soon as you possibly can. A relatively minor eye problem can get serious very quickly if it isn't treated.

Take Sacha to a reputable vet immediately. He could have one of many common feline ailments which are easily cleared up by an antibiotic injection. But if it is more serious you will be glad you had him looked at as soon as possible. I hope he gets better soon.

Take her to a shelter. Kittens are suseptable to all kinds of nasty things and they can be lethal because they are a bit delicate.

yep,, need to have him to the vet for some eyedrops to cure the eye infection. While you are there the vet can give meds for worms and do a general exam to make sure it has no other problems.

Have Sacha neutered, it will prolong his life and make yours alot happier over the long haul.
