What do you feed your cat?

I feed my cat whiskers for kittens as soft food and he loves the hills kitten balls to protect his teeth. Please dont by Iams alot of problems with that brand.

Science Diet dry food. You can also get wet. When a kitten use the Science Diet kitten, then move to Adult. It comes in several formulas but my two adult cats absolutely love the regular flavor. I mix it with SD Light because they weigh a pound or so too much. They self feed themselves from bowls. Leave lots of water down too

Any animal food is important. Mostly that the first two ingredients are meat or meat product.

Don't go for fillers, it justs makes more fecal matter to clean up.

There is a lot of good ones out on the market - mostly found in Pet Stores, and not the local grocery. Most groceries carry Iam's which does comply to this rule.

Call a vet that you cat may see - they will tell you the same thing as I did.

Science Diet, Iams, Purina etc. - any food available in the grocery store is poor food for your kitten. They are full of corn (about 2/3), have by-products for their meat source (heads, feet, entrails, feathers from chickens, etc.)

Good quality protein foods are Wellness, Natural Balance, Solid Gold, Nature's Variety, Innova Evo etc. You may have to get these from small, owner-operated pet stores. They will carry the premium foods. And "premium" does not always mean the most expensive. Science Diet kitten food is $2.09 per lb dry and has 33% protein. Natural Balance is $1.66 per lb and has 34% protein.
