Whats wrong with my cat
I found a cat about a month ago. she seemed fine and in perfect health then. but just about a week ago i noticed that her left ear was swollen inside. like a big ball. i can it hurts her. what could it be?
Answers:This is possibly a hematoma. This is simply the result of a burst blood vessel in her ear skin. This can occur for as many reasons as one could imagine but is as simple as a bruise that doesn't clot. She does, however, need to see a vet so the hematoma can be drained or it will burst on its own, make a HUGE mess, and become infected if she doesn't bleed to death first. It's a simple fix and should not be delayed.
The most likely possibility, from what you describe however, is a probably an abcess. This is usually caused by a small puncture wound (most likely by the cat scratching her ear) that becomes infected and fills with pus. This is an easy fix as well as the vet will simply drain the abcess and prescribe antibiotics. Cats unfortunately do not typically do well awake for this procedure so be ready to dish out a few extra bucks for some sedation.
Well I am not quite sure what the word is but I do know what it is. She has an ear infection this is where she has black things in her ears and it is not safe you need to get her to a vet right away (well as soon as possible)
you need to take her to a vet IMMEDIATLY! She could have gotten bit by a Wes nile carrying misquito, ear mites, insessent scratching! Just take her to a vet!
maybe it was bitten by bugs or something wrong with its blood circulation. shouldn't you take it to the vet right after you found it? the vet would vaccinate and perform medical check just in case.
Sounds like something serious. You should take her to the vet ASAP
The cat may have been in a fight.
sounds like a hematoma, it needs to be drained by a vet.
it might be a bite or ear mits. ether way you need to get her to the vet as soon as you can.
It could be an abscess, ear mites or just an infection. She needs to be checked out by a vet, abscesses and infections are easily cleared up with some antibiotics and draining, and ear mites are treated with some drops.
