Whats wrong with my kitty2007-11-25 12:30:02

He's been throwing up and having diaherra! I saw white things in his poop. I know he has worms, but is it heart worms, tape worms, what kind? I already made a vert appointment for Monday.

It sounds like round worms. Don't worry they can give him a pill and they will go away. I have had this problem before with my cats.

Not sure but you need to collect a sample of his poop (gross, I know) and give it to the DR so that they can look for stuff under the microscope.

If it gets worse, you may need to take Kitty into a vet ER.

Good idea making the vet appointment

if you have switched the food recently that

might contribute to the diahhrea but I'm not

too good on the whole worms subject ; just

give your kitten a lot of love & care until Monday

comes & you can make sure he's ok . Perhaps he

doesnt have all his shots yet ; maybe try asking the

pervious owner on a little background information like

if any of the other kittens were sick & what not . Good luck

Most likely roundworms. Wear gloves when you dispose of the litter.
