When does a kittens vision develop2007-11-25 12:30:33
We saved a 4 week old kitten.(momma's gone)and were wondering when he can focus his vision.worried about rumor of white cats and blue eyes being blind.
Answers:Kittens open their eyes about seven to ten days following birth. At first, the retina is poorly developed and their vision is poor. Kittens are not able to see as well as adult cats for about three months after birth.
All kitten's eyes are blue at first.
After about 6 weeks its hopeless so you better hope they develop soon.
Blue eyes does not usually mean blindness it actually indicates deafness. There is a link between blue eyes and deafness.
about 6to8 weeks,I have a beautiful blue eye cat with long white hair for 10 years now and she can see just fine.I have heard this hapening but not to often I don't think.
it should be devloped within a week or two no worries I've spentmy life around cats and know alot about them
