This is a sign of extreme affection.a reaction that he had when he was safe and snuggled against mama and nursing.

My cat drools sometimes in the morning if she gets in my room. I don't know what causes this. My sister's cat does this too if she's excited. It's gross but funny. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

SO does mine! I have 3 cats and my 'baby' drools when he is happy. My oldest cat drools when he is under stress.. like going to the vets. It must be like purring. Cats purr for many reasons.. happiness.. anxiety.

I had a cat that drooled when you petted her. I took her to the vet and they said some cats just are droolers, like some dogs are. She only drooled when she was relaxed and drowsy, and the vet said it was because she associated it with being a baby and with the mother cat.

NOT 1000% SURE MATE< MY CAT (DARTH) IS REALLY BAD FOR IT. HE WILL LITERALLY SLOBBER ALL OVER ME. HOWEVER WHEN FUSSING HIM OR HER GIVE THEM A TREAT LIKE A BISCUIT OR SOMETHING IT STOPS THEM DROOLING. DONT BE WORRIED HE/SHE LOVES YOU LOTS

Because he is happy. Unless he has an absess tooth. Check his mouth, and look and see if his gums are healthy. If is a lot of drool, and it smells he might need dental work. Other wise many cats drool while they purr, when they are happy.

Some cats just drool. If there is a smell worse than just basic cat smell and the gums are not pinkish. Call the vet. Or just carry a little cloth and wipe up the drool. They only really bother me when they shake their head and it flies all over my face or the walls or what ever they are near. The dog pushes them out of HIS bed if the one that drool get in there. He has a lot to put up with 4 dogs and 19 cats and farm animals. Someone is always drooling!
