When my hairs wet my cat licks itis that bad2007-11-25 12:30:10

Like if I'm sitting down on the couch he comes up behind me and starts licking it..

Answers:

it is a very natural thing. In the wild, lesser cats clean the Alpha cat as a sign of respect and as a way to move up in the ranks/get favors from the Alpha. Your cat is just showing you that it cares and that it recognizes you as the head cat.

My cat does that too, he's so weird!
Aww! that's a Kodak moment right there.
yes.

not to be mean but it can damage your hair rilly bad my dog did the same thing untill i had to get perscribed hair care

make sure u give him/her water
Nothing bad. He wants to drink.
no not at all most cats do that
no because its like they are cleaning them selves. its also referred to bonding.
its not a bad thing unless you say it is, you must remeber that cats are different than humans, so what you might think is bad, he might be thinking he's helping. cats do bath themselfs, maybe he thinks he's taking care of you? and that my friend is not a bad thing but a good thing, it shows the care that your pet has for you.
My cat does this too; I have a hunch that he thinks there's something wrong with "his" poor, wet human!
your cat may be feeling thirsty, and the water is a welcome invitation!! or it could also be that the cat is helping you to groom yourself, as you have got wet and are not making any move to dry yourself?

whatever it is, it sounds really cute!!
