When will she give birth
My cat is very pregnant! In the last couple of days her belly seems to have dropped, and you can feel the kittens moving around inside her. Last night I noticed she has some mucus-like discharge from her.um.parts. She's not seemed to be acting much differently today to normal - when do you think she's likely to give birth? Thanks! :)
Answers:Sounds like the time is near. now would be a good time to confine her to bathroom or something and check on her often! Now if the confindment causes her stress dont do it just watch her closely. You will see her nesting, rooting around looking for a good safe place to have the kittens. I once had a cat that happened to be pregnant when I got her and within the short time I had her she had formed a bond with me and knew I would help her if she needed me. this was her first littler and as soon as she began to have them she would NOT let me out of her sight. with her first contraction she came over to me and just fell over onto my feet as if to say OK stay right there! :)
You will know when its time though, you will see her contracting and she should circle and lay down.
sounds like any day. the last cat i had didn't show much signs of labor, until she started hiding out a day before she had them. Keep an eye on her, and be sure she has a place to have them.
She will probably stop eating, or at least cut back, and start hiding in a closet, or dark place most of the time.
