Where can I get my 3 kittens declawed and fixed for cheap

I have heard of organizations that offer fixing of animals for liek $20-$25 dollars. We rescued 3 kittens and just don't have the $$ to spend (took them to the vet and it will be $200 a piece for having them fixed and declawed). Does anyone know where I can get this done? I live in York, PA and can go as far as Balimore, MD or Harrisburg, PA to find someone. Thanks!

Hmm.call your local pound, or animal control. I'm sure they can recommend someone, perhaps even the people they use.

That's actually not a bad price--I paid a good $75 to get a male cat fixed, plus another $250 for declawing.but I went somewhere that I knew I could trust the vet. And the extra $$ was well worth it.

While I know you can save money getting both surgeries done at once (the cost of the anaesthesia is usually a big chunk of the fee), you may be better off getting them all fixed right away, and then having one cat at a time declawed as you get the money. After the declawing you do need to give the cat plenty of attention, and you'll want to be able to keep an eye on the healing process. And it'll be a whole lot easier to be able to focus on one cat at a time than three.

Can I just say, though, that while I may not declaw another cat in my lifetime if I can avoid it, all the cats I had as a kids were declawed in the front. And they adjusted just fine. It was done when they were young (I say the younger they are when you do it, the better!), and this whole thing about them not being able to defend themselves is a load of crap. My declawed cats were always indoor/outdoor, and while they got into scuffles, they were always able to defend themselves (and often came out on top). They climbed trees, fences.and once the wounds healed they didn't have any trouble walking or with any super-sensitivity on their paws.and they were the sweetest, most snuggly cats I've ever known. So it doesn't make them mean, either.
