Which room should a person who lives in a one bedroom apartment keep the litter pan2007-11-25 12:30:50

The bathroom is right inside the entryway, so that's not a good place for it, and the kitchen, bedroom and living room don't seem appropriate.

Answers:

the bathroom still seems like the most logical place for it and if you use scoopable litter and clean it daily, change and wash it weekly it seems to keep odors at a minimum. when i lived in a one bedroom place my bathroom was too tiny for the box so i got one of the litterboxs that comes with a lid and put a pretty lacy piece of material over it and put some potted plants on it and kept in a corner in the living room, no one seemed to notice it was a cat box. hope this helped.

I would put ti in the laundry/storage room and leave the door opened a bit..
Try your bedroom closet. Just keep it slightly ajar at all times.
Maybe near the washer/dryer area (or at the end of the kitchen, perhaps? Then, it's out of the way. As long as you keep it clean, it should not smell or cantaminate.
The kitchen, but keep it clean
Any room is a good choice as long as the cat can access it anytime it needs to. You also should have one more pan than the number of cats. If you scoop the box daily, that will reduce odors (and make kitty happy). You can also get an odor neutralizer for the room to help your nose cope with any lingering odors. The fact is, pets do produce odors.no matter how clean we keep their space. The only way to avoid it is to not have pets.
The bathroom would be the best place, get a catlitter pan with a cover on top, that is usually the best place anywhere you live.
bathroom. Although not to be ugly but cats are gross. My girlfriend has one and the litter box is in her guest bathroom and I try and hold it whenever I go over. It stinks soooo bad.
bathroom is the best bet, but any secluded place would work, as long as its not near the cat's dishes. I used to keep the littr box in a closet with the door open a bit.
Sounds like the bedroom closet would be best from your description of the apartment. You probably wouldn't be able to have it in the "efficiency" kitchen you must have.
