Whiskas choice cuts food for cats Sliced chicken in gravy my cat used to love it but now shes leavin2007-11-25 12:30:51

in the dish. She will lick up the gravy and leave the slices to fester. She is still eating because the kibble (Iams for indoor cats) is disapeariing. Cat and I are in the middle of the USA. Cat used to try and get at this food while I was opening the package.

Have they changed the way they make it? I notice the gravy seems thiner?

Cat is an extreamly fussy eater. I have had her for 4 years and this is one of 3 foods she will eat.

Answers:

There are a few possibilites

1) they changed the formulation- companies do this all the time

2) she may have something bothering her in her mouth- a bad tooth or other dental disease. Cats with dental problems may still eat their dry food (it's eeasyer to pick up) but not their wet food. Have your vet take a look.

3) She's simply changed her mind.

But, if you noticed the gravy is thinner, most likely the company changed it's formula.

you noticed that they changed the gravy to something thinner so they could have changed the meat to something else as well. most likely both the new gravy and the new meat are lower quality and it was changed so that the company could make more money, by the way when you noticed that the gravy was thinner did the price drop? did she like it noticably less as soon as you noticed the gravy difference? try to find a new dry and wet food that she likes and i know this sound wierd but if you find 2 or more of a dy food that she likes look at the nutrition facts(sometimes there is a web site on the package to see nutrition)and do the same for wet food.
