Why do cats lick peoples heads2007-11-25 12:31:13

Pretty simple. Why do cats like to lick people's heads? The only thing I can think of is that they enjoy the salty taste of the sweat residue. Any cat experts care to answer?

Answers:

They are cleaning you because , They love you. They also bring you there catches. What they caught, If they go outside, Wait a minute inside they can catch mice also.

Edit: People really can't take a joke. I've had cats most of my life and I love them and would prefer them over any other animal as a pet and companion. This question just reminded me of an awful girlfriend I once who was jealous of a cat I had and would treat her badly when I wasn't around. My cat would get back at her sometimes by pretending to be affectionate and doing the licking thing, then taking a nip a her. When I found out how she had been treating my cat I thought that a little nip was the least she deserved.

My cat licked my head when he was happy. He sat on my head when he was content. Later when we got a second cat, he licked that cat's head. I think it's because they tend to clean others that they care for.

My cat will lick my hair, pull and bite my hair. They do all different things. No animal is the same. I have 3 cats and they are all different. My momma cat will get up in my face and rub her face all over me. But only to me. If I bend over she jumps on my back. They are goofy creatures
