Answers:Why does anybody like anything? It tastes good to them. I bet you will find some people answering this question saying "well my Fluffy won't touch it." Cats are very individual creatures and they have not read the book that says they are supposed to eat only meat and fish and an occasional plant. I had a cat who enjoyed an occasional taco.
People with cats prone to constipation are told told to give their cats a teaspoon of canned pumpkin, not with the spices and all, just the pumpkin. So if you let kitty in on the holiday dessert, go easy if you don't want a mess in the litter box.

I don't know, but if it is not harmful maybe I will give my kitties a piece of pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving and see if they like it. Thanx for the idea.

Actually, pumpkin is good for cats. I feed it out of the can and bypass the seasonings. If ! kitty likes it - good for him!
The only obvious answer I can think of is because pumpkin pie is really REALLY yummy, and cats are really REALLY smart. I mean, who in their right mind doesn't like pumpkin pie.mm mmm
