Why do cats purr
Why do cats purr2007-11-25 12:31:46Answers:
Most often cats purr for pleasure, like when you pet them or they rub against you. But they can also purr when they're scared or in pain, so don't assume a purring cat is a happy cat.
It's kind of like a human smile, there's a traditional use, but a variety of others.
They don't know the words!
It's a sign of being content.

becoase they are happy and they cant laugh
b-cuz they like wat they wat they feel
A cat's purr is a social sound. When they are with people or cats that they feel are "family", they purr--especially during grooming and between mom cat and kittens.
A cat's purr seems to have a comforting or healing quality to it; injured cats often purr, and cats in labor will purr. Mom cats with small kittens purr almost constantly. Possibly, when you are helping an injured cat and it is purring, it is saying, "I am your family; take care of me."
cause they <3 [love] you =D
