Why is my 8 month old Maine Coon kitty so ruff
My kitty plays so ruff with us. We even brought over a pitbull (who is friendly) & he acted like he was bigger than him, playing so ruffly with the pit! I just got a 14 week old Maltese that I am getting in 2 days, and I'm nervous that my cat will always playfully beat him up. This poor puppy may not ever have a chance to defend himself. I know he means well, but he is so ruff. ALL THE TIME!! Any suggestions??
Answers:Maine Coon cats are normally very mild-mannered. But, as they are half-Tabby, they sometimes have the Tabby hunting aggressiveness. This may be the case here. Give the cat some toys so it can work-out it's energy, and don't be afraid to discipline him (or her) if she gets too rough. But also, remember that some cats are simply rough-and-tumble.
neuter him hes more than old enough
they are just naturally that way. you just have to deal with it and maybe he will chill out as he gets older. It is their breed. dont get him declawed though it will make him use his teeth more.
Well Kittens and Puppies are always ruff there just kids they just want to play and have you got her fixed I know it seems mean but it will come her down it worked on my dog but don't worry she is just a kitten and the puppy will play along they will love to play togther if that does not work get the kitten fixed! BUT TRUST ME THEY WILL GET ALONG FINE
It's a kitten it going to play ruff, specially with other animals.
