Why is my kitten peeing on carpets
A second litter box is suggested, as some cats like to do one business in one box, and the other in a different litter box.
If he checks out clean from your vet with no medical issues, I would try a second litter box, and failing that, confine him to a bathroom at night with a litter box, food and water.
You also need to thoroughly clean the spots where he has urinated, as he will return to the scene of his 'crime'. Washing bedding with a cycle using a cup of vinegar followed by regular washing is effective. For under the bed, either an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle, or a vinegar solution, and for that I have posted a link.
i would say there has been another cat that has peed there take something and clean the area really good and throw some red pepper under there that should take care of it
Hello, my cats both peed when they were babies...one was on the bed on top of the mircowave and all over the floor...my second one peed in my sinks and in the shower...I brought them to the vet and they told me to keep the litter box as clean as possible...but to make sure where they had peed to clean it so they can never smell it again...becasue if they can smell it they will pee over and over again...I bought a special cleaner from the pet store and cleaned it properly...this helped a bit...as the other person had answered I put the litter box in the bathroom and put the cat there for the night, I tried this a few times with no luck...I can tell you the only thing that worked for me was when they got fixed...it has not happened once since the day each of them were spayed...good luck, try not to run out of patience and when they are old enough to be fixed this will end the urine problem, in the mean time...get the cleaner and make sure the cats can not smell that area where they peed ever again...I don't think regular laundry soap will take out the smell as it is so strong go to the pet store, they will have the knowledge of the cleaners to use and good advice.
This might sound a bit gross, but is he peeing like he needs to pee or is it just a drop or two like he's "marking"? Also, is it anyone's bed or specific peoples beds? He is a little young for marking behaviour, but if (forgive this) there are guys who don't shower and/or clean their bedding often enough to take away their "musky" smell (not inferring they are not clean...cats are just more sensitive to smells than people :) ) the cat could be trying to "cover" what he finds to be an unpleasant smell (or if they have a new aftershave/cologne or the ladies have a new perfume). That could actually go for a new scented detergent or cleaning product too (if he doesn't like it he will try to cover the smell).
Also, have you always cleaned his litter that often? Some cats get upset when their own scent is not clear in the litterbox. Maybe try leaving a little lump of his scent in the box and see if that helps too.
Make sure you thoroughly clean anywhere he has peed. You might want to get a urine cleansing product to make sure the smell is gone since a cat will go where they smell pee.
If those suggestions don't change his behaviour I would strongly suggest taking him to a vet just to eliminate a physical problem as being the cause.
Good luck!!
maybe your bed is more softer than the cat litter.u should buy the cat a softer cat litter.
