Why is my kitten playin in her litter tray with the litter pearls2007-11-25 11:44:15

is this normal? how do i get her to stop? i dont want to tell her no cuz she might stop pooin and weeing

That's horrible litter to use for a kitten. Kittens are very mouthy and that product hasn't been out long enough to know the long term effects of injesting it. Please switch to something safer for your kitten. Wood stove pellets work great - they cut the odor, suck up all the moisture, are very inexpensive and completely harmless. You can find them at home supply stores and some grocery stores.

Kittens'll play with pretty much anything that catches their eye. Try distracting them with another toy of theirs.

My kitten does this too. Kittens will play with anything that catches there eye, it wont hurt them though. Try giving her a new toy.

The kitty is going to play with anything that moves. She will grow out of this, or if it really bothers you just pick her up and put her in a different place away from the litter box. Good Luck I a jealous you have a kitty!

it is comletely natural for kittens to play in their litter boxes and to even eat the litter. you dont need to do anything. its only natural and they will eventually grow out of this stage. this is their first experience with digging and doing things that they would do outside.

all kittens play with it . and there isnt a very big solution , but later on she will stop . i know how that feels .i had 4 at the same time so ur not in a deep problem when it comes to one ha ha

She's a kitten - she'll play with ANYTHING!

Try to distract her with another toy or some food or something.
