Our two cats have been living together for almost a year now and have been getting along really well as best friends/mother & baby. But lately the older cat is always hissing at the younger cat and she even hissed at me when I tried to pick her up. Why would a cat become so grouchy all of a sudden?
Answers:The cat could be sick or in pain. Try touching her gently all over and see if she winces when you touch anywhere. Also watch for other behaviours, is she eating, does she sleep more than normal? She could also just be going thro a stage and wanting to be left alone for now.
she might be in pain and does not want to be touched. bring her to the vet to make sure nothing is wrong.
