Why my cat so talkative2007-11-25 12:33:09

my cat is a three yrs old female, she meow all the time if i'm home. my husband and i gave her huggle and kisses all the time and she still meow too much. espically when we tried to sleep, anyone knows why?

Some breeds are naturally more "talkative" than others. Have fun and meow back every once in a while.

is she in heat? my friend had a cat that was in heat and she never shut up. and it was a wierd drawn out deep meow. it was sooo annoying. if you haven't got her fixed yet see if you can. it might help. if not she might want a cat friend.

i have a 6 yr old male that has always been very vocal. my other cats aren't. i guess that's what makes each one unique.

Yeah,my cat does "talk" a lot too except not during the night. We pretend to talk back. (we say "what's your name?'' "MEOW!!" Talk to a vet for answers.

the thing to remember about cats is they do not communicate to each other with meowing. it is cos they see us talking that they communicate to us with meowing. so she wants something from u. poss just being sociable cos u r "meowing"

some cats are just chatty I can sit and mimic my cats meows for ages and it is funny, like having a chat with him, he has been this way since he was a kitten and is now 5 years old and still chatting away, sorry but seems yours is also a chatterbox.
