1. You could get another cat as a play friend. Cats are social as much as any other animal.
2. You could get her some play toys. Cats like variety.
3. Is she spayed? She may just be frisky. Does this happen all the time or same time every month? Just take her to get her spayed.
is she spayed? if not, spay her ASAP!! she could be in heat!!
She's talking to you. If she is looking at you directly and it goes from loud meows to quite meows and chirps. And she's walking on her tip toes. It's her way of communicating with you. As you make a fuss of her each time she does it. She knows she will get a reaction from you every time. If she was in any sort of pain or discomfort you would know by the noise she was making.
What you did not tell is if she has been doing this ever since she was a kitten. If this is something she started doing only a while ago.. she might have become a lady with female urges ;-) Do you let her out at night, or is she always inside the house? She might want to get out and find herself a date..
Some cats just don't know when to shut up. However, it might help if she had another cat for a companion to help drain off those sociable energies. I have one cat that sits in the doorway and "talks" non-stop to the cats outside. The only way to shut him up is to shut the door. Another sits in the window and "talks" for ages to absolutely nothing that I can see. Another will hold her tongue untill about 5 a.m. and then start up until we get up! We put her in the bathroom when we go to bed, so we can get some sleep! As you see, having others cats for company hasn't shut them up entirely, but at least it's manageable.
Some cats are more vocal aka chatty than others. They use all those meows like humans use language, to communicate needs, wants, and emotions. This sounds silly, but try chatting with her, one way is by meowing back to her.some cats love when their humans have a 'conversation' with them.
She could be part Siamese. Oriental breeds (Siamese, Burmese ect) are very talkative. . Ours is very talkative too,so we reach down and pet her, but that doesn't satisfy her. She keeps on meowing till she stops.yr
