Will my cat be sick for the rest of her life2007-11-25 12:33:17

When I adopted my kitten, she was 5 months old and had an upper respiratory infection.She is now 8 months old and sometimes one of her eyes gets watery but otherwise she seems healthy! Why is that?

well every once in awhile you may need to use antibiotic drops for her eyes the vet will give you these and use them as necessary but otherwise as long as she is healthy just watch her and she will be fine cats are like humans they may get sick every once in awhile

There really is no way of knowing. Have you taken her in to see the vet for a check up? Maybe he/she can tell you more about this situation.

I have a kitty that had a problem with her mouth(rodent ulcer) and when I took her in the vet gave her a steroid shot and her eyes cleared up too.I don't know what the two had to do with each other, but I know she wouldn't have gotten clear eyes if I had not have taken her in.Please take her in for a check up.It is also possible that she might have allergies.

Several things. First thing is to make sure she has all of her shots. There are diseases that cause these symptoms that you are describing. Nothing to really worry about, but just make sure she has her shots, that she is neutered, and that she has food. Also makes sure she has fresh water at all times. If there are cats around, check to see if they have their shots.
