Will my website with streetcatcam work at rehoming street cats?

I have recently set up a website in an attempt to get some street cats that come to my place for dinner into homes. It has live streaming video of the cats and a "kitties need a new hood" page.

My opinion:

Anything you can do to help find a cat a responsible home is to be commended, and I'm sure this video is great.

Okay - this time I actually looked at the link. What you are doing is to be highly commended. Not sure what guidance to give you because I'm in the US, other than on our the most successful humane societies, which is actually located near our rural town in New Hampshire has a "Featured Animal" in the newspaper each week. You could conceivably take the information you already have, and do the same.

In the past I got a LOT of free "advertising" for our dog obedience club by writing "Community Interest" articles and submitting them to the local papers. It (a.) was free of charge, (b.) actually did do a service to the community by explaining that dog obedience was really just training you to train your dog in basic manners and (c.) it turned our dog club around from being in the red, to having a waiting list to get into the classes. It was one of the most satisfying things I've done.

Farfly1 does it again - make sure you have on your site that 10 MILLION cats and dogs are euthanized each year for lack of enough homes. The most important way to decrease this alarming statistic is to spay or neuter your cat.

I hope many people recognize the gift your rescue efforts are to your community. Kindness to animals is one of the first giant steps toward global reconciliation.

No use there cats don't think like do gooders, any shelter worker will tellyou that cats are very independant and do as they please. You might as well try to make a nun out ofa a street whore.

I've heard that Australia has the worse cat over population! I hope it works! And that more pet owners will see the problem and spay and neuter all their pets!
